What’s the one thing that we normally use, and do on a daily basis? That’s traveling in any means of transport, whether a bus, train, plane or a car.
More often than not, we board all these means of transport hoping to get comfortable during the trip. But, as we think of comfort, we should think of our own safety too, as our lives do matter.
These days, people are getting hurt or even dying, just because of where they seat. In the various means of transport, some places where we sit are kind of risky, so if an accident ever happens, the chances of someone surviving while sitting on those seats is minimal!
Vehicles should be well maintained, and every vehicle for sure has seats, where we most likely won’t get hurt if an accident occurs. It’s for this reason that Bright Side has taken its time, and gathered a list of seats, where they have done their statistics, and analysis of the safest places to seat in the various means of transport.
Yes, we sometimes have that good feeling of boarding a plane, but at times we still feel that chill running down through our spines because it’s our very first time.
Before the plane departs, the air hostess ensures that everybody has their safety belts on, all comfy, and if anyone needs something, they’ll assist you.
But, do you know the safe seats and the dangerous seats? Indeed, everything comes with it’s good and bad!
The team of experts hasn’t yet figured out where’s the safest place on a plane, but from their view, they think that the back of the plane, isn’t that dangerous like the first rows at the front.
This should not worry you though, as you can gather courage and hope for the best!
I love ships because they are cost friendly, fast and to some extent safe. While boarding a ship, you need to know that the safe seats are the deck and cabins. The reason behind it is that, the upper part of the ship is the last to sink, hence you’re safe.
On the other side, the dangerous seats are the lower cabins, since if there’s an accident(flooding), the water covers all the ground hence difficult to escape.
Be aware of the safe and dangerous seats, just for your own safety!
Not many of us have traveled by train, so you might not be familiar with the safe seats, and dangerous seats. A train is one of the fastest means of transport, so a lot of people especially tourists tend to use it and just seat anywhere, without any knowledge of what’s the safest seat to use.
So, these safe seats are the seats that are much closer to the middle of the carriage. Why? If the first and last carriages have some form of collision, they’ll either deform of go off the rails, and it’s good if you choose the 5th or 6th carriage.
The dangerous seats are the ones that are in the direction of travel. This is because your chances of falling down with an emergency break, is minimal!
Next time, try sitting on the safe seats and inform your family and friends too about this.
4. City bus
Most of us use the city buses, as they are one of the affordable means of transport. It has been recorded that most accidents occur when people use the city bus on the road. This is where you need to know something about where you sit.
The safe seats are located in the middle of the cabin, and they are the rightmost seats. They are in the direction of travel, and this lays on a safer ground because they’re farther than the rest from oncoming traffic.
The first two rows of seats are the most dangerous. Foreign objects and fragments can get through the windshield, and back row seats to are not far off better, because of the hit from behind.
Trolley buses look funny sometimes, but we have no choice, only to use them so as to reach to our destinations.
We’re always in a rush to sit anywhere, without knowing if you’re risking your life or not. In a trolley bus, know that the safe seats are usually in the right row on the aisle. Not only the right row seats, but also the seats in the middle of the cabin are considered safe!
The dangerous seats are the ones next to windows and doors, so you better avoid these seats, since it’s easy to suffer from glass shards in minibuses.
I find this minibus kind of weird because of its shape, but it’s used a lot. There’s no much difference between the minibus and the bus itself, only the size.
As there are seats that are located towards or against the direction of travel, the safe seats for this minibus are located against the direction of travel, and the dangerous seats are next to windows and doors.
I’d say it’s better to avoid the seats that are next to the driver, be cautioned!
Generally, we have millions and millions of cars, but we don’t even know that you don’t need to be on a bus to be kind of not safe. Cars too have their bad side!
It’s better if you seat in the back seat, in the middle because it’s safe than sitting next to the driver because they can be a head-on-collision, putting your life in danger.
Thanks to Bright Side, we’ve been able to recognize where to sit when we use these means of transport, and please try not to ignore these useful tips. If it’s a bus, car or any other, ensure you’re on the safe side. Do you agree that this content was helpful?
