Having twins is truly a miracle. Only about 1 in 67 pregnancies will have multiple births. But imagine her surprise when she finds out that her during her first pregnancy, she expected twins! Though nothing can prepare you from parenthood, but the best thing parents can prepare is their excitement for your new bundles of joy!
The first time around. they were blessed enough to find out they were having twins — one boy, one girl. A few years later, Weston and Erica found themselves brimming with love and prayed for a new addition to their family. Having their prayer’s answered, in almost no time, Erica found herself pregnant, again!
But this time, both Erica and Weston wanted to keep the sex of the twins to be a mystery until they came into the world for the very first time. In the video we get to see them meet their twins for the very first time.
After the full 38 week pregnancy, Weston and Erica set off the hospital for induced labor. Erica’s water hadn’t broke yet, but she was already at full term, so the doctors decided break her water and induce labor.
Amazingly, the doctors allowed her husband, Weston, to film the birth. Weston had been filming everything up until the very moment of birth, so we could see the moment the mother laid her eyes upon her newborn babies for the very first time.
Erica had gone through this process before, so she kept her cool throughout the drive to the hospital and through all of the preparations. Respect to her for managing to keep it all together! She even made light of the situation on the way there, with her husband. “Are you you ready to have five kids?”, she asked humorously. A big family, to be sure!
When they arrived, her husband popped open the trunk to reveal a bunch of gizmos to record the moment. From a GoPro, to an iPad to some laptops. Weston was prepared to record every moment of the birth of their second set of twins. Talk about the perfect father and husband!
The result is available below, which lovingly documents the entire labor process. Weston was even surprised by how quick the twins were born!
“The labor was insanely quick at only three hours from water breakage to newborns.”
It could be nothing short of a miracle to have two sets of twins — TWICE, in a row! It’s quite the unbelievable journey and roller coaster to be have another set of twins, but be sure to watch the video below and tell us what your favorite moment was! I loved when all the nurses were cheering when the gender of the babies were revealed!
Note: The video does NOT feature anything graphic!
